My partner and I went to Disneyland!!!!! It was my first time in literal decades, and we just so happened to be there on Life Day and also the park’s 70th anniversary so all kinds of cool things were happening.

I was at an event yesterday where Rand Paul spoke via video and talked about how great it was to send ACA money "directly to the people" so that they could work collectively to get better deals on health care.

Today’s good news: my partner smoked the char siu I marinated last night and despite some mishaps it’s still incredibly delicious. It’s such a treat to be able to make amazing home cooked char siu basically whenever we want.

Today’s good news: after not flowering at all last year (probably from moving stress, among other things) my saffron bulbs are providing one heck of a bumper crop! I think maybe 15% of my bulbs have flowered so far (I have a small 18” pot), so I’m expecting a ton this year.
