Decent maker of art. Terrible at social media.
These companies are trying to get in while the grift is hot and money is flowing don't think that they'll get sucked down when it all implodes.

Because that strategy has never bit anyone in the ass before.

Reminds me of Tom Minton's Jonny Quest parody "Toby Danger" seen on Freakazoid!

I could easily make a long post about all the model sheets Hanna-Barbera reused during the 70's but the one of the craziest examples is Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels pulling from 1960's Jonny Quest. The CC episode "Dragonhead" uses two characters from JQ's Quetong and an off-model Dr. Zin.

Anytime I see or hear investor corporate-speak nonsense I automatically have this playing in my head.

Weird. The Wikipedia I'm looking at says it's Frank Welker. Jabberjaw, as far as I know, has always been Welker.

The skin, the metals and rust- also that union jack, fantastic John!

Probably the closest to decent handling of that would be Last Action Hero? Not super great but a fun send up. Needed more Ian McKellen as death.
The Purple Rose of Cairo has a similar theme but I make it a point not to watch Woody Allen flicks so I can't attest its quality.

The reason I ask is because I have a 733 G4 Digital Audio that I bought brand new back in the day and I've generally been eyeballing dual 1.25ghz MDDs to possibly throw my old HD drives into to have an old Mac with more power to play around with.

It's a fun one. Barbarian is a better film but Destroyer is just good sword and sorcery fun.

I read some of the Record of Lodoss War: The Lady of Pharis Manga, never got into the anime. Pretty good art in that. One of the few ones in the original Japanese that reads left to right.

Does that also include characters inspired by Joe Besser?

I made the mistake of clicking a Linkedin email link with stories about CEOs bragging about shrinking staff in favor of AI. My feed is nothing but techbros hyping AI or green banners looking for work. This post right here? This is the state of things in video games, if not all industries due to AI.

Ironically, I saw this supercut on reddit the other day. The bulk of this trend comes after the 2001.

Facts.
It's funny to see a lot of Anime/video games from the mid to late 80's or early 90's pull heavy inspiration from contemporary Hollywood films. Then witness the reverse happening once Japanese media started to hit the mainstream in the US.

Shrinkflation in effect. Not only smaller packaging but smaller product as well.
Profit!

How?
This DS Lite has been sitting untouched in a drawer for at least two years or more and still powers up with a full battery?

They believed DDT was safe in the late 40's so most likely it was actual DDT? They put together a bunch of propaganda movies like this to show it was harmless. There's one video of a British officer in Kenya promoting its safety to tribesmen by having it sprayed into his porridge and eats it.

They did it down in Texas to kill mosquitos in order to prevent the spread of polio.

Similar vibes to crowds of people being hosed down with DDT.

It's interesting to see the contrast of what the animators did with those concepts.
