My anxious dog is more anxious than usual, because my other half is out for the night. She has not slept since four o'clock this afternoon and is absolutely wired. Her anxiety seems to be mainly expressed in farts, she is unrepentant.

Finally gave M the tool roll i made for her b'day. She opened it in class & started crying, which set me off, which set G & N off, which made H go "all wibbly" because we're a gang of menopausal clay bonded women who see each other for 2hrs a wk & for those 2hrs, we're family #sewing #pottery #love

She is with the kiln gods now, clear glazed and full of coloured glass, which will melt and mix in the kiln to coat the bottom of the piece.
The little granules you can see are tiny pieces of metallic glaze which melt & look like ink spots when fired.

Took Margot to see family yesterday, 14hrs of constant distractions & new things, public transport, busy train stations, cars and strangers in close proximity.

My latest #ceramic handbuild. I only get 2hrs class a week so this is taking much longer than it looks. Hopefully finish the build next week & can glaze till Christmas.
Anyone want to give me a kiln, outside building to put it in & 6mths off work to play with mud?
