The restriction on car makes in Motability is a perfect and horrible example of Government By Vibes. it saves no money, it helps absolutely nobody, all it does is makes a few cruel and angry people feel better while disadvantaging people with mobility needs.

one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

So #virginmedia don't like customers or indeed customer service. 4 calls at 10mins each just to navigate the menu to get into a queue to speak to a person. Now 28mins on hold to a "Tech Team", not because of a tech issue, but because the "Billing" options don't let you speak to an actual person

Sewing in my room today, afternoon light was perfect. Feelgood injection straight into my brains.
Here's a progress shot of the piece of quilting I am making to use in a glasses case for the MiL

Unfortunately, a Tom Waits phase is much like a coldsore. You think it's gone, but it's always there. Lurking. Waiting to strike.

Looking after an aged Dad, when he made 30 of my years so unbearably horrid, is definitely a difficult brain process

Oh CTM, your "online booking tool" is so terrible that we have to call you up to book things manually, then you can be bloody sure that I am wasting both yours & my own time by making us all wait on the phone for the approval email to arrive.

I'm so sick of discourse from supposed allies about where trans people went wrong.

Where we "went wrong" is that billionaires spent unimaginably large sums to attack us repeatedly and major media outlets have spent a decade piling on.

Dad is home on Monday night, finally. We thought he would end up staying in hospital another night as the Patient Transport seem to forget he existed (ooooooof) and finally got him in the door 12hrs after telling him to get ready to leave. But he's home, and the carers are visiting.

I simply don't have the energy to explain how much shite we have waded through today, only to be cruelly pushed back to where we started.
Looking after elderly parents from far away, is a sisyphean torture

You don’t actually have to both sides this. The Jewish community in the UK is not the Israeli government. You can just condemn the murder of two British Jews killed in their place of worship and you don’t have to say a single other thing.

My contribution to last night’s ‘C’ themed raffle at Locally Sourced Comedy new material night. The raffle was won by host Will Adamsdale and the winning ticket was selected by a dog. It was that sort of a night.

Some improvement today, 24hrs of painkillers & anti-inflammatories. She has clocked we're worried & will only eat steak or treats by hand....

Dog is currently on v high strength painkillers while we wait to see if her injuries are musculoskeletal (rest & physio) or a slipped disc (xray & surgeries)
I have never felt this horrible, literal tight pain & constant tears. I just want her to be ok. I can't bare it

If you had gone back 36yrs & told sad, chunky 14yr old rugby mad me, that not only would WOMENS RUGBY be on BBC1 on a Sat, but that big, solid MASSIVE & MIGHTY girls would be first and forefront of the team too. I would have wet my shorts in disbelief.
Well done #englandrugby
