Oh, please. You want flowers for "almost leaving" your lucrative and prestigious job? But instead you stayed and wrote a big American history book that mentions, like 3 Indigenous people by name? Are you that Jill Lepore?

The prosecutorial culture was “miserable.” She stayed, but has come to regret her silence at the time.

Someone should write a Moynihan report on our elite class, explaining that their problems are not socioeconomic but the product of a pathological ghetto culture.

Ashamed that he got caught; no shame at all about harassing women and keeping them out of academia.
Larry Summers tells @theharvardcrimson.bsky.social
he’s stepping back from all public commitments in light of his messages with Epstein, saying he is “deeply ashamed” and hopes “to rebuild trust and repair relationships.”

He will continue teaching.

The conflation of academic freedom and free speech can seem ignorant, but it helps politically defined “viewpoint diversity” supplant protections for academic work as such, couching allegedly underrepresented right-wing opinion as akin to suppressed academic work, and substituting one for the other.

They got Claudine Gay out of the Harvard presidency over a footnote.
Ngl, seeing “you’re holding the nazi tatted racist white man to impossible standards” as a Black woman, aka the demographic ACTUALLY held to impossible standards, pisses me off deeply. The bar is so low for them and they still can’t clear it, but we’re “ideological purists” for pointing that out.

This is the day he finally became president.
Tonight the president of the United States posted a video of himself wearing a crown and flying a jet that dumps diarrhea all over the United States.

Seriously. He actually did this.

You buy the jacket and go home, which is only 15 mins away. Your apt is $600/month
