Angry, middle-aged lady who sometimes rides bikes.
I just spent 20 minutes calling these 10 representatives to express my disgust at them for aligning with Republicans to censure Congressman Al Green. It was cowardly and racist.

We are one country, and their actions impact all of us. Don’t limit yourself to just calling your representatives!

The past several days have proven without a shadow of a doubt that Project 2025 is real and underway.

And those who warned America about it were right.

“The man made the Nazi salute and to offer any plausible deniability means he and his followers can use that doubt and turn it against us, accusing us of overreacting or reading into things that aren’t there.”
Journalists Must Admit Musk Did the Nazi Salute.
In hedging their language and excusing their behavior, journalists are giving Elon Musk a benefit of the doubt he does not deserve.

Trump’s flood of Executive Orders is a cheap spectacle intended to distract us while his administration moves to gut our health care and SNAP benefits.

Immigrant families aren’t the reason we can’t afford eggs or prescription drugs.

Billionaire CEOs like Trump and his people are.

What a beautiful reminder to still find moments of joy even in trying times.
Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce.

Bear with me for a second while I try to explain.

This matters. Not because I think Trump is capable of mercy or empathy towards these vulnerable groups. But because it is a public act of defiance.

Contrast that with all these other powerful people in this country signaling nothing but appeasement and obedience.
Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde to Trump: "I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian, and transgender people in Democratic, Republican, and independent families, some who fear for their lives ... and the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals"

Can we please stop excusing and sane washing this blatant behavior. It wasn't a "delicate moment." He literally gave a Nazi salute. Twice!

When Republicans “claim to be the party of law and order, Americans should remember the day that [Trump] was willing to sacrifice the men and women of the thin blue line on the altar of his own ambitions,” @radiofreetom.bsky.social writes:

Donald Trump has always said elections are rigged. He's praised Hannibal Lecter. Doesn't know what asylum means. Says he's a stable genius. He says shit nonsense. If you want to chase conspiracies to comfort your fear and frustration, I won't be joining you. I'm focused on fighting 4 years of shit.

Imagine trying to ride into office as some kind of savior to restore an app THAT YOU YOURSELF SOUGHT TO BAN IN THE FIRST PLACE.

This is all political theater nonsense and no one should fall for it.

TikTok has been extorted by the U.S. Government.

We all sat here and watched it happen.
