Wow, he'd really be shocked to learn my husband does ALL the grocery shopping. By himself!

Those are my priorities right now. If your priority is telling people what words to use when defending the truth and marginalized communities, well, ypu have more time than I do.

What I found were multiple versions of the definition, which perfectly defined what I was trying to express. I will continue to call out the media and the dangerous policies of this administration. I will continue to help where I can.

I looked up the phrase "sanewashing" after your first comment because it was the first time I'd heard that it was inappropriate. Obviously, you have big feelings about it, but I found nothing else saying it was insensitive.

This is exactly my point. Here we are talking about the words I used and not, for example, the fact that our new president just signed an executive order saying our country will only acknowledge two genders.

When we focus on tone policing the words people use to call out abhorrent behavior rather than the abhorrent behavior, we've lost the plot.

I appreciate your comment because I try to be aware of my words, but after much thought, I stand by what I said. "Sanewashing is the act of minimizing the perceived radical aspects of a person or idea in order to make them appear more acceptable to a wider audience."

The sane washing and justification for abhorrent behavior continues. It's part of how we got here. No surprise it continues.
