Brazil's cost of living is actually pretty close to some cheaper European countries, but the minimum wage is ~1/3 theirs.
If you make 1,000USD a month, you're better than 80% of the country, but still far from being financially secure.

No worries hahaha, Brazilian Portuguese uses comma as a mix of "hard rules you can't defy" and "optional pauses while reading", so we always do our own thing, so ideally we never follow the English punctuation.

This is somewhat common in English-to-Portuguese translations, especially with commas, and it's mildly annoying haha. It also happens when there's an emphasis on the source, but keeping it in the same word in Portuguese makes no sense.
