Oh, Im going to be very very tired after this weekend. Not like "touring Canada and driving from Sault St Marie to Toronto at 2am after the show" tired or like " 4 straight 17 hour days at the dental conference" tired. But like.... pretty tired.

Sometimes I take stuff on and Im like "this is soooo in my wheelhouse" but its really more like when I'd go skiing as a kid and follow my older siblings down a double black diamond and have to slide down on my butt.
Like Ill do it, its probably a lot, but try and stop me. 🤸‍♀️

“We had to erase trans people or we couldn’t get our federal funding”

Fuck the federal funding. You fight, you sue, you do not become complicit in our mass erasure.

We are all in this together, and we all go down together.

I will not allow us to be jettisoned or erased.
FWIW, the choice was scrubbing their website or potentially closing down because their funding was turned off. Sure they could have sued, but what then?
This is a stunning betrayal by Whitman Walker in DC.

You CANNOT jettison the trans community to protect yourself.

It’s shameful. I got my name changed at WWH. I have promoted their research.

Now they are capitulating to save gay people at trans people’s expense by trying to erase us.

Hallway wasn't moody enough.
Here's step one in remedying that. 🖤

Finally! Sun!
A happy snowy dog and some pretty shadows are helping to erode some of the doom gloomies

I was looking to see if Lucille Clifton ever discussed the poem 'Night Vision' and was met with this...
Not now, robot.

Hey friends who like sci-fi, creating beauty and dunking on the rich - my brother wrote this lovely story.
I linked to the original post, but I never really posted myself that I have a story in this issue of Kaleidotrope. I think you should drop everything and go read it!

Fahrenheit 451 was my favourite book when I was a teenager. I picked it up to reread this weekend and of course this 70 year old book is still startlingly relevant.

Its both comforting at times and infuriating that we've been surviving this nonsense for so long.

I'll be having a good day today, not in spite of the terrors, but actively - to spite them.
