Elected officials claim to be "alarmed" by this, but the only surprising thing is that the man is still alive. As evidenced by the fact that this officer knew he was being filmed, cops are clearly comfortable with hunting down Black people like prey.

For some context: About 2.4% of drug samples in Baltimore contained medetomidine between April 2024 and June of this year, so it appears to still be scarce in the local drug supply.

In Cecil County, however, 70% contained medetomidine.

Keep in mind this is RAD data, so sampling is limited.

Statewide, there were 1,296 deaths, a death rate of 21 per 100,000 people.

As usual, Baltimore has by far the most deaths. Deaths in Baltimore County, PG County and Anne Arundel County also remain high compared to other areas of the state. (3/3)

In the 12-month period ending in September, Baltimore saw 536 deaths, a death rate of 91.5 per 100,000 people.

That's a notable drop from the year prior, though West Baltimore has continued to see the highest OD death tolls. (2/3)
