I have been at my new job for just over two weeks now, and I cannot believe how amazing it is. It’s so supportive, professional, and gives me the creative outlet I’ve been looking for. Life changes can be really good.

Beyond excited about my new career opportunity! After 13 years with my current company, it was time for a change, both in title and company. Leaving the Lead Editor role behind to take on the role of Director of Publications and Imagery. I cannot wait to start this new job!

First session with a new therapist tomorrow. I actually did my due diligence this time, so hopefully all goes well. Not like last time when I was told I hadn’t experienced homophobia, I should just put my dog down because he has seizures sometimes, and she used sessions to tell me about her problems

Sitting at the ER vet with my cat because I don’t know why he’s having bladder issues. This is the third pet that’s had to be at the ER vet in the past three weeks. Are we cursed? Why can’t our animals just stay healthy!? All I wanted was a nice night of watching PLL and drinking wine.

First therapy appointment went well. It was draining, though. This is gonna be good but it’s gonna be tough. Lots to work through. I like my therapist. She’s quirky and doesn’t mince words. She’ll challenge me, which I need. Therapy is such a good thing.

I didn’t think I’d be that into it, but I started watching The Traitors just to see what it was like and I’m obsessed. Binge watched seasons 1 and 2, and now I’m loving season 3. This show is a hot mess and I love it. Plus Alan’s outfits are iconic!

Had to reschedule my first therapy appointment because we are supposed to get snow and freezing rain that day. I hate the weather here.

It’s been a long time coming, but I’m finally starting therapy next week. I really hope I’ve found a good therapist and that she’ll help me get back on track and back to me. It’s scary, but I’m proud of myself for doing it.

My wife made an amazing chocolate walnut cake tonight, and while everything is basically a dumpster fire right now, I’m looking for some light in the little things like getting to eat a delicious cake made by my favorite person.
