A new species of giant tree has been found in the Amazon Rainforest and named after the School of Geography's Professor Oliver Phillips.

An international team of 67 researchers, including four from Leeds, has now revealed the true scope of the Nord Stream pipeline leak in 2022 – the largest single release of methane ever recorded.
