@alt-irs.altgov.info The IRS robot hung up on me. I paid all my taxes and they keep drafting from my bank account based on a payment plan I set up that has now been paid and I just want them to stop, and I cannot talk to anyone. The federal government is stealing money from me. This is a nightmare.

My little brother's yahrzeit just passed yesterday. It's so much to carry, that folks die twice. Once when they die, and again when that last person stops remembering them. It makes me so sad that after only 2 years, I am already the only person who seems to remember.

How to get rid of Citizens United?

We can do away with it without a new Supreme Court. Nor do we need a constitutional amendment.

There’s a far simpler way. Let me explain: https://robertreich.substack.com/p/how-to-get-rid-of-citizens-united

How delightful for these drips that they have $700K to spend on a house here in Portland. Portland used to be affordable.
They Scoured Portland, Ore., for a Hundred-Year-Old House With a Story to Tell
After living a nomadic life, a couple sought a sense of stability for themselves and their young daughter. What could they find for less than $700,000?

Whenever I hear someone say "I work 7 days a week" (Jensen Huang, Mayor Keith Wilson, Elon Musk) as if this is something to be proud of, I wonder why they are so bad at their jobs that they can't just do the same amount of work in 4 or 5 days, like everyone else.

Remember: The oligarchs who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us so they can become more powerful.

They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see where all the wealth and power have gone.

Don't fall for it.

While corporate profits skyrocket and the stock market rides high, regular Americans are struggling to make ends meet.

Even CEOs of the biggest corporations are starting to understand why this is a huge problem. Watch.

Everyday Americans get nickel and dimed while the rich dodge taxes.

They struggle to get by while the wealth of the 1% skyrockets.

They see their voices drowned out while the well-connected avoid accountability.

There are two sets of rules in America: One for the rich. Another for everyone else.

I asked my kid what one of his friends looked like, and he said "well, she has your haircut and kind of looks like you except without the puffy skin and wrinkles and acne, plus she wears a bunch of makeup and has braces." Thanks pal.

This is REALLY depressing. Like, what is the point of any of this? How is AI demonstrably making the world better? It appears to only be making it much, much worse. All this energy, employing no one, producing nothing tangible, burning fuel, so corporate execs don't have to write their own emails?

@tressiemcphd.bsky.social speaks the truth. Democrats should LISTEN. I am from the same county as Graham Platner (Hancock County, ME). It is an impoverished place, but those folks are plenty able to politically organize without accepting casual racism and sexism as the price of doing business.
