I sometimes think actual 19th revolutionaries were better placed to grasp that being on the side of the working class didn't mean thinking they were inherently virtuous.

You can, in fact, do both, Sir Kier. And you're going to need to open safe routes if you want to tackle the gangs; moreover, it's the morally correct thing to do.

(I am not sure Labour has ever interested in the morally correct thing to do over asylum.)
