A powerful thread, well worth reading and sharing.
I see a recurring theme in commentary on the whole [waves hands] situation in the US: that it exposes a fundamental flaw in the US constitution. it's not true or fair.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on an ARC of Charlie Jane Anders' most excellent "Lessons in Magic and Disaster" to review for Daily Kos. Here's the result: www.dailykos.com/stories/2025...

I just finished "The Bad-Ass Librarians of Timbuktu" by Joshua Hammer. LOVE learning new stuff, and this was a revelation. Abdel Kader Haidara and his team, who saved 377,000 manuscripts from Al Qaeda, are the best kind of heroes the world could have. Great great read!

I can't wait to go to chemo this week in my deep red area and announce loudly that federal funding for cancer research has been canceled. And that the Medicare supplements for the ACA are going away.

Wish me luck--it'll be...interesting.

Jimmy Carter’s funeral really feels like a callback to a nation guided by decency and honor. And it’s also a rebuke to our current state of politics.

Oh, what could have been! What we could have been.
