If Jackson County pulls out of the library system we we lose our library. We need everyone to turn out on May 20th to the Swain County Commissioners meeting. Tell them to do everything they can to save the our library and the FRL from a handful of carpet baggers.

In his concession, Jefferson Griffin and NCGOP petulantly still claimed "victory" for "uncovering" flaws in North Carolina's voting procedure for so-called "never resident" voters - the adult children of NC residents who live abroad.

But this legal reasoning turned out to be pretty flimsy.

When people need public assistance to meet their basic needs, they should get it. In the past 25 years, there's been a large increase in the number of people who need that assistance (largely due to an aging population) - and there's a pronounced political division.

Could've had a veteran prosecutor who protects the rule of law, offered $25,000 to first time home buyers and vowed to strengthen America's relationship with other world leaders but nah, America opts for a 2 liter of Orange Sprite that vowed to appoint The Nazgul to help him run his administration.

This is so awesome, Chase! I think a lot of true activism is wanting to get involved, seeing the needs like you have, and seeking to fill them. Way to go!!
