They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.

The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k.

Participants in Denver's basic-income program reported having more-secure housing, though results were similar in the trial and control groups.

Since we’re talking about how much billionaires suck again, here’s a reminder that your local indie bookstore deserves your business this holiday season. They have gift cards and are happy to mail stuff out. Same goes for @bookshop-org.bsky.social. Buy books. Give books. Support bookstores.

Dems are the opposition party so we need to act like it. Make this our mantra…

“If you don’t like anything…that’s going on in this country at least in the next two years, Democrats are not involved….this is on Republicans. If you don’t like it, you need to look at them.”

I’m proud to say that registry is officially open. Thanks to your incredible support, Team Beans contributed $225,000—our largest grant ever—to help launch it.

Assad was propped up by Putin.

But Putin couldn’t help him — because Russia’s military has been devastated by Ukraine.

Make no mistake: our Ukraine policy is working — it weakens Putin EVERYWHERE.

We recommend donating to ARC-Southeast, which serves Florida and other southern states. The group was founded by three Black clinic workers in Atlanta.
