I’m finally really starting to watch Ken Burns’s The American Revolution. Appropriately, Tim and I are watching with a new American whiskey from Copperworks. It’s from the second cask they ever filled.

I’m working on a new episode with Jessica Lepler. She wrote a fascinating book called Canal Dreamers. It’s about the quest of early Americans to build a interoceanic canal across present-day Nicaragua.

Very excited to welcome @adamxmcneil.bsky.social to speak in the History Explorers Club tonight. He’s telling us the story of Judith Jackson, an African American women who self-emancipated and secured her freedom in 1779. Perfect for the 250th anniversary of Dunmore’s Proclamation.
