I’ve just written a letter to my MP asking them to speak out against legislation being passed to hand BILLIONS more to Drax. Write one here: actionnetwork.org/letters/emer...

At 6pm on the 2nd of June, a committee of 17 MPs will vote on whether to grant huge new subsidies to the UK’s single largest carbon emitter and the world’s biggest tree burner, Drax.

Drax emitted 4x UK's last remaining coal-fired power station last year - and hoovered up half a billion in subsidies for doing so.

I also updated my ongoing data tracker for Gorgon, a huge CCS project in Western Australia that stores the carbon captured when Chevron extracts gas
It's a HUGE failure, storing nowhere near targets, let alone the op emissions of the site. Their punishment: buying a bunch of shitty offsets.
