typical Swiss ingenuity. no doubt helped by the fact that Switzerland is not dominated by fossil fuel companies.
Switzerland is using its railway infrastructure to generate power by installing solar panels between train tracks. Transport and energy generation can work together.

The world can remain confident that fearlessly conceited American preaching is in zero danger of fading away. The world is also left to wonder if there is any measurable sense of shame left within Washington power. #auspol #USpolitics
The obscenity of American preaching
One way to get a robust, comparative fix on how obscene American global preaching about human rights has become is (borrowing a vivid image from Caitlin Johnstone) to imagine what the world might think about a scorching lecture from a Taliban leader on the Western oppression of women and women’s rights.

No baby formula has entered Gaza for four months because of Israel’s genocidal blockades. There is nothing left to feed babies and their mothers can not produce milk as they themselves are starving. There is no defending what Israel is doing. No justification.

I have a simple metaphor. Cars didn't just eliminate the horse and cart they made people lazier when they no longer had to walk places. They then got less fit and gained weight.

Generative AI is not just taking jobs from people it's making people intellectually lazy and therefore unfit.
