I knit, I run, I do science. In some order. With varying intensity.
Perfect. No notes.

Broadly, it’s people who work for themselves (often the case even if they get hired for a particular project). But not meant to be exclusionary or a comment on the state of the field. Only an opportunity to recognise & uplift creators, share their work, & help knitters find patterns they love ✌️

I’m looking forward to when I do get to knit it. I even have some nice teal yarn for it (although it’s been so long I might look through stash, too).
I’m browsing this years pattern - I do love the events - but for eventual knitting. It’s fun to watch along, though!

This is my FOYAL pattern fr 2023. Woodhall by Emily Wood (she’s participating this year too). Love the cable & lace combo 😍. Knew I wouldn’t finished during the event (end of year not great time for timed challenges for me 😵‍💫), but I haven’t, er, started yet 😬… #ShowMeYourKnits

Thank you ☺️! It’s only my second & the first one was easier: recipient’s two favourite colours in yarn I already had from a frogged project 👌!
I thought I had one for this hat, but it knit up differently than it looked in the skein. So fun, though!

I mean, I haven’t done brioche yet…
But I do have a practice cowl pattern before I take on the shawl!

‘Ocean’ is perfect as contrast for Musselburgh & the orange pink ‘Juicy Fruit’ is for this shawl 👇…just as soon as I learn a brioche 😬 #ShowMeYourKnits (totally got this from @lintstorm.bsky.social)
Can we also talk about the joy of receiving a ✨GOLD✨ package?!?

I inadvertently did that a bit this year by not reading the description/ pattern carefully and then learning the thing when it surprised me in the pattern…(see steeking, Italian bind-off, fold over ribbing with bind-off, etc…) 😬
