Went looking for inspiration this week for contrasting colour for fan favourite Musselburgh hat from designer @ysoldaknits.bsky.social. Wasn’t even looking to buy yarn.
Anyway, here are my 3 gorgeous skeins of Aglow singles from @lottieknits.bsky.social in merino, silk, yak 🤤. #ShowMeYourKnits

Abandoned floof 🫤; Untuva jumper to be frogged 🐸 in Cascade Aero, that has *already been frogged* from Biscotti jumper. 5.5 mm too small, 8.00 mm to big, haven’t got it right for this yarn yet. Kinda like Drops Air or CaMaRose Snefnug. Any suggestions for this fluffy chunky yarn 🧶? #ShowMeYourKnits

🚨FO! One more out of the TBF pile, only needed ends woven in & a bath 🧼 ! Harris Hood in De Rerum Natural Gilliatt 🧶. First time to use, I found the wool stiff to work with, but it blocked out nicely. Xmas gift for youngest, cheeky try-on by me.

Another one No Longer On My Needles! 🐸 Stockholm Slipover (Petite Knits) in La Bien Aimee Corrie worsted 🧶. Chose the wrong size - thinking roomy for layers, but it was huge. Handling the wool reminded me how much I LOVE it! It might be next in the needles (for a different pattern). #ShowMeYourKnits

Break from the regularly scheduled #knitting for some quick requests from the kids. One wanted a squishy autumn Sophie scarf 🍂 & the other a cozy for their camping mug ⛺️(with a bottom to keep everything hot; self-drafted pattern). Was able to use same deep stash Cascade 220 sport 🧶 for both.

Son moved into dodgy Uni accommodation that had moths 😱! Found the leftovers for both main & contrast colours (miracle), but kept finding holes/ areas of weakness. Ended up going all the way back to leg. #ShowMeYourKnits
(Yes, he was banned from bringing anything from the flat back to the house!)

Important update: SLEEVE! Added longer ribbing in the cuff, held together with mohair to mirror the yoke - I love the fabric that the two make! Also have a better idea of how much yarn I have left and what the body can be. Getting there… #knitting 🧶

🧛‍♀️ Not surprisingly, one of the biggest casualties from this week’s #ShowMeYourKnits horror stories 🧟‍♀️ is HATS! Daughter lost this within 48hrs of receiving 😱. Hat (aspirational). Relevant to this week’s SMYK post, I’ve started a #Musselburgh in La Bien Aimee merino singles, from deep stash. Hard to photograph blues & teals against a lovely grey & occasional tiny green bits 😍. Seems small compared to my last version, but *trust the process* 🧶!
