WOW. 81% of women 18-29 voted for Mamdani, 80% for Sherril, and 78% for Spanberger.

Gen Z women aren't playing around.

here is my story about how Zohran's focus on community amid the loneliness epidemic helped young people connect their politics to an organizing infrastructure, that interviewed ZM, and does not use the NYT's framing of "they don't know how to make friends" :-) and also ran 4 days before NYT's lol
Zohran Mamdani's Establishment-Fighting Campaign Built Community for Young People
“What Mamdani has done is not only inspire and mobilize young people, but he has exposed the establishment and some of their calcified views of participation and inclusion.”

“Missouri wasn’t like this when I was growing up.”

Republicans have controlled the Missouri legislature since 2002. What’s their legacy? Struggling towns, crumbling roads, 4-day school weeks, and 19 hospital closures. They’re arrogant enough to think you won’t notice they caused the failures.

Trump’s approval amongst 18-29 has gone from +5 to -29 in just a few months.

It can go much lower than that, and it will as @votersoftomorrow.org continues to educate Gen Z on Trump’s attacks on our future.

@ach.bsky.social has organised impact.ach.org to document terminated NEH awards. This a resource I wish we never needed.

Grants left and right are being prematurely ended. Some that really matter to me are 1/n

Libraries are key institutions in a democracy. The Trump admin gutting IMLS is part of a broader agenda to undermine education, whitewash history, ban books, restrict access to public goods, & ensure we’re socially isolated.

In case you needed another reminder that reading is political!

ELECTION RESULT: A team of city council members in Rolla, Missouri, have been pushing anti-LGTB policies, including a ban on drag shows and book censorship.

Voters just ousted all three of these city councilors who were running for reelection, backing candidates backed by a local LGBT group.

#NationalLibraryWeek kicks off today! It’s a time to celebrate the places that welcome everyone, spark curiosity, and strengthen our communities.

This week, take a moment to discover—or rediscover—what makes your library special.

What draws you to the library?
