As per the photo portion below, I’ve updated my timeline summary to include Dr. Henry’s Sept 28th, 2022 press conference where she said a high rate of #Covid19 infection in kids does not translate to long term consequences.

And that she would have known the opposite was true. #bcpoli
“Please note that this multitude of long COVID information via the OCSO was being received by Skowronski while she and her co-authors, including Dr. Henry, were conducting their cross-sectional SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalence study. Their study's sero-surveys began in March 2020 and ended in August 2022, at which time their research concluded that the estimated infection-induced cases in B.C's children and youth had culminated to reach ~80%. Yet, between July 2021 and July 2022, Skowronski had been receiving reports that included evidence of long term symptoms in children and youth. These pediatric fact summaries and studies revealed a whole host of harms in this population group, including heart, lung and liver implications, cognitive impairment and fatigue. Yet were families informed about the pediatric long COVID evidence, were stronger mask mandates reinstated or school air quality upgrades prioritized? No, quite the contrary. During a September 28th, 2022 press conference, while presenting various graphs and charts, and the high COVID-19 infection rate in children, as inevitable, Dr. Henry stated, "It also shows us that children... particularly since Omicron has come on the scene, now have a very high rate of evidence of infection. But what that has not translated to is hospitalizations, severe illness or long-term consequences in children, which is the good news." (22:50 min mark). Proof that there was never any intention to reveal the truth about what was known behind closed doors or to protect the population from a disabling virus. Even and especially our children.

To clarify, these were previous requests but since they weren’t publicly accessible, I had to file for access.

June 5, 2025 Dear Staff, Families, and Students, A confirmed case of pertussis has been identified. Staff & students who attend between May 14* to June 4th, 2025, have been exposed. • Pertussis is contagious disease of lungs & throat caused by bacteria in mouth, nose & throat of an infected person. It’s spread when the sick person coughs or sneezes. • If you become infected, it usually takes 7-10 days to get symptoms, but it may take as long as 21 days. Please watch for symptoms until June 25TH 2025. • Early symptoms are like those of cold (sneezing, runny nose, low fever & mild cough). But over next week or two, the cough gets worse leading to longer spells that often end with a whoop or crowing sound when the person breathes in. The coughing may be so bad that it makes a person gag or throw up. Sometimes thick, clear mucous is spit out. This can last up to a month or two & happens more at night. • Pertussis can be very serious and life threatening for infants under 1 year old.

Someone asked what I’ve been doing these last few years. As usual, I answered vaguely, learning the hard way from past dismissive responses when I talk about my #Covid19 investigative work.

But it did motivate me to finally organize all my paperwork (which represents fraction of my computer files):

Came across this old email dated Jan 18, 2016 from my child’s elementary school principal. It was all about protecting students & staff. Because of course, it was well known that all germs spread very quickly in schools. Just truth, common sense & care for others.

Parents, we have many children away today and a few that we have had to send home because they had a temperature, a cold and/or a bad cough. One class has almost half the students away. If your child is sick, please keep them home as germs spread very quickly at school. Make sure they are completely well before they come back to ensure that other students or staff are protected. I have heard that there are other schools in Richmond that are facing large absenteeism as well, so we want to catch this before it goes throughout our whole school.

From my timeline piece: “Around this same time, in the midst of all this long Covid secrecy, 52 people, across Canada, experiencing long term disabling symptoms, joined together. These long Covid sufferers connected to press Chief Public Health Officer, Theresa Tam, and all provincial medical officers of health for increased public awareness, updated public guidelines and necessary medical support. Revealed by PoP NB's comprehensive Right to Information response and posted by Long Covid Resources Canada, their June 30, 2020 letter detailed a whole host of debilitating symptoms including serious and persistent respiratory, cardiac and neurological issues. They also expressed a lack of care in the medical community and explained that many of them were "being dismissed as having anxiety".” “Two months later, a response came from Dr. Henry, replying as the Chair of Chief Medical Officers of Health on behalf of the Federal, Provincial and Territorial Special Advisory Committee on Covid-19. Her August 20, 2020 letter, carbon copied to Chief Public Health Officer, Theresa Tam, touted the federal government's investments in ambitious research initiatives but offered no real acknowledgement or help, save for a tone-deaf recommendation for those with "severe or prolonged illness" to seek care from their health-care providers. But in contrast to her seemingly dismissive comments, sidestepping the letter writers' ongoing, debilitating long Covid symptoms, Dr. Henry did not hold back about Canada's multi-pronged research role. Apparently, we were "home to some of the most skilled and recognized researchers in the world," whose efforts "will help to slow and eventually stop the spread of Covid-19," and the "data and research from various sources" were being reviewed daily "to support planning and the public health response." “ “And in her eagerness to explain just how much we were leading the charge, Dr. Henry cited the launch of a Canadian initiated global study about long-term effects on the brain. Proving that even back in 2020, post-Covid-19 cognitive impairment was on the radar of all federal, provincial and territorial SAC on Covd-19 members. A study that two years later revealed "significant impairments were seen in those with mild infection" and "the degree of cognitive impairment was not related to the amount of time that had elapsed between the Covid-19 infection and the assessment, suggesting that they might be long-lasting." Yet, not once, did Dr. Henry warn anyone about these conclusions in her public health briefings.”

The SARS outbreaks [43] in 2003, the MERS-CoV outbreaks in 2012[44], and the current SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, have given a new impetus to research in this field leading to application of the existing theories and models in practice, development of new evidence, and raised awareness of the importance of ventilation strategies and indoor air quality for public health purposes - in both healthcare facilities and other public settings. This manual leverages on both longstanding and new evidence based on the expertise of scientists from a wide variety of disciplines. It provides a new, standardized, and validated model for quantifying the risk of airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in indoor settings. Our aim was to provide a robust tool to inform mitigation measures for business owners, households, healthcare centres and others, to not only reduce the unacceptable and unnecessary health burden resulting from the airborne transmission of respiratory pathogens, like SARS-CoV-2, and enable a more agile and effective response. In 2019, a new world threat emerged with SARS-CoV-2, a virus that has affected the entire world, every country, every family. The incredibly rapid spread of this virus that transmitted efficiently between people through the air renewed the important risks related to the quality of the air we breathe. Transmission of SARS-CoV-2 has been the subject of considerable debate throughout the pandemic. For the first time on a global scale, the critical importance of settings, duration and close range exposures with infectious respiratory particles emitted by infected people into the air, forced the world to pay attention to the ventilation of our houses, our schools, and our work places, as one of the critical components to reduce SARS-CoV-2 transmission. This manual sets an important milestone in understanding the airborne mechanism of pathogens. For the first time, the risk estimation will be directly informed by host, pathogen and environment features and their complex interactions. Addressing the possibility of SARS-CoV-2 airborne transmission through risk assessment and risk-based ventilation requirements will enable a more effective and efficient public health response. In many parts of the world, people spend most of their time indoors, ensuring healthy and safe indoor environments will contribute to mitigating the current COVID-19 pandemic, as well as inform policy decisions in hopes of protecting us from future respiratory outbreaks.

And then, of course, as per this same report- to seal the deal & keep kids in school- research into the effects of pandemic measures was also #1 priority. There must have been a lot of incentives for researchers to dive into this too with the overload of studies that churned out in this area.

And thus, the *decision-based evidence making* research that deemed schools magical & safe, ensued!
in its analysis, the task force concluded that there is an urgency to fill the large knowledge gap on the pathophysiology of COVID-19 in children through focused research. All opportunities to collect better and broader data about COVID-19 in children should be leveraged, including prevalence studies and systematic observations in day camps, daycare facilities and schools. This will help document children's susceptibility to infection and confirm their role in its transmission.

Suddenly it all makes sense, doesn’t it? The reason why there hasn’t been another report on Covid-19 & Children after July, 2020. Since it was Minister of Innovation, Science & Industry that asked our Chief Science Adviser of Cda & her task force to complete this one: science.gc.ca/site/science...
The Chief Science Advisor (CSA) was asked by the Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry to provide guidance on the science concerning children as vectors for the spread of COVID-19. How the disease manifests in children and whether they contribute to its spread are important questions that directly impact school and daycare openings, health system preparedness and restarting the economy. To help answer the charge, the CSA convened a task force of leading scientists and clinical experts including practicing physicians with first hand knowledge of COVID-19 management in pediatric settings. This report is based on analysis of published research and observational data as well as information embedded incollective expertise.

So, defining the harm of the pandemic when we think about what Covid has done, we do need to think about the economy and other social determinants of health. The economy is expected to contract by the sharpest drop since the Great Depression. In June, unemployment was 13%, the highest recorded since 1987. My family when we were Canadians then, I remember that time very sharply in my mind. Employment losses are heavily concentrated among low wage workers and women. GDP's forecasted increase by 5.4% and the rate and degree of recoveries uncertain, some are very optimistic and others pessimistic, but certainly uncertain.

Excerpt from my 1st piece above: “Next, as for what they've known, the article's introduction states that "international estimates indicate that 10% to 20% of individuals recovering from COVID-19 experience long-term complications" and "given the multiplicity of organ systems affected and the susceptibility of individuals with substantial comorbidity to the infection, impacts are likely significant." The article's overview and objectives section expands on this even further, disclosing that "based on the known physiology of the whole-body distribution of the angiotensin converting enzyme-2 receptor and the virus binding to the receptor, the possibility of multisystem involvement became apparent early in the pandemic, fostering an urgent need for interdisciplinary collaboration. The PC-ICCN emerged through "collaboration among over 60 clinical specialists, researchers, patients, and health administrators.”

On my walk yesterday, I happened upon a sight unseen before. An Oreo cow locking eyes with a lounging cat on a leash. And I kid you not, the cat’s name was Mu-mu.
