I English good. Daylight Saving Time should be permanent. Views my own.

Have you heard about civil forfeiture?
It's messed up.
When you try to sound like you have plenary authority and end up sounding like you soiled yourself because you were upset that the kitchen ran out of ketchup.
This has escalated

This summer, ICE agents arrested #GeorgeRetes, a U.S. citizen and veteran.

He was detained by ICE and others for 3 days, strip-searched him and forced him to provide a DNA sample—all without charges.

Now, as ICE ramps up this type of data collection, Retes & countless other Americans are at risk.
ICE’s biometric dragnet is a 21st century general warrant for your body
DHS and ICE have created something the Founders feared: a roving license for agents to search anyone, anywhere, at any time.

As someone who has adopted a child from foster care, I wish I knew what the fuck dude is talking about.

But I am not convinced that even he has the slightest idea what he is talking about so... 🤷‍♂️.
Trump: "Christians and more, think of this, more than twice as likely foster care they'll adopt the general population. They adopt to it so easily. When they get out, they adopt to it like it's become second nature. It's amazing."

Seeing all this PAX Unplugged stuff this week has me excited that I am going to be going back after skipping it for two years.

Huzzah!

Geez, I was pretty happy with Kaine before this, now I need both my Senators to be primaried…
Tim Kaine on backlash he's getting: "I got the first good night's sleep last night that I've gotten since Oct 1, b/c I wasn't worried about being able to look Capitol Police in the eye when I walked in, or what a furloughed fed worker would say to me at church, or what somebody would say about SNAP"

Note to self: even though it carries that metallic goodness of almond milk, unsweetened almond and soy vanilla yogurt also has vanilla in it, rendering it difficult to use in savory faire. It just sucks all around.

Off-duty police chief in Michigan shot two dogs in front of small children and is suing the owners for the dogs' escape and attack, the 15 pound terriers made him fear for his life.

As someone who has been attacked by a dog I can say: I never thought to shoot it.

The Illinois legislature had passed the “Illinois Bivens Act,” allowing people to sue ICE agents in state court. Just waiting for Pritzker’s signature.

Just voted in VA and I was surprised to see that my state delegate was also on the ballot.

I mean, I know they are supposed to be on there, but I just haven’t noticed any indications that there is a local race, too.

Just relying on being carried by the top of the ballot, I guess.

This whole thing just reminds me that I don’t like traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

At best, I’d spend $9 and feel mediocre about the meal.
What's gonna be on your thanksgiving plate?

Abigail Spanberger came to my street this afternoon.

Would have been great to get a heads up. Not like, “This person is going to be here,” but more like, “we’re fucking up traffic for a three hours.”

Just a neighborly heads up is all I’m asking.

I remember last Halloween, thinking about how bad it would be if Trump won.

Turned out that it’s worse than we thought.

But kiddo seems happy, so we are going to try and rock that energy tonight.

Cases like this are a great reminder: We need accountability for government officials more than we need to abolish a particular agency. Without accountability, we are only playing whack-a-mole.
This case underscores how SCOTUS made it impossible to hold immigration cops accountable for the abuses you see in all those videos.

A federal task force cop manufactured evidence to put an innocent woman behind bars for two years. Because of SCOTUS-conferred immunity, the case never got to a jury.
Minnesota cop who fabricated a sex-trafficking ring won't be held accountable
The officer made up information and lied multiple times under oath but the government says she has federal immunity.
