Republicans just managed to pass a bill that will balloon the debt, push millions off Medicaid, and do little for economic growth.

Joe Jackson releases his iconic “Body & Soul” LP 41 years ago today.

“I knew by the time I was 15, 16, that I was a musician,” he said. “I didn’t expect to make any money. .. I just wanted to hopefully reach some kind of audience and hopefully not have to go and work in a factory or something.”

SICKENING—Trump’s DHS just deported a surgeon from Brown—who is here legally on an H1B visa that doesn’t expire until 2027, & committed no crimes. Trained in the U.S. at Ohio State, University of Washington, and Yale as a **transplant surgeon**, she is a highly trained doctor on kidney transplants.

Yeah, Rep. Jake Auchincloss from MA is also advocating for this, but he's framing it as bringing accountability to greedy social media companies. I can't tell if they don't understand 230 or they just assume we don't, but either way, repealing 230 is becoming a thing for Democrats.

Someone please consult w Durbin
Democracy is burning, and we need sites like Bluesky more than ever. And Senator Durbin wants to repeal 230, which would massively stifle the ability of sites like Bluesky to exist, while massively empowering X and Meta.

Why?

It seems that someone in his office doesn't understand 230.
It’s time to repeal Section 230. We must be able to take social media companies to court for addicting kids and enabling drug trafficking on their platforms.

Few people know 230 as well as Mike

Someone needs to explain to our Sec of Commerce how capitalism works.

America has a GLOBAL TRADE SURPLUS on services. Services have the highest margins and profits of our exports. That is where capital and expertise focused.

It is why we dominate in tech globally.
CNBC hosts literally laugh at Lutnick as he suggests that t-shirts, sneakers, towels, and TVs will again be made in the US as a result of Trump's trade war
