UPDATE!

Queensland Museum has removed some of its Shell-sponsored education materials from its website following our report into systemic bias.

Unfortunately the Shell logo remains ⛽😷

Probably just a coincidence that the list of Australia's new fossil fuel projects will come out on the Friday before Xmas.

P.S. if anyone wants to send Queensland Museum an email with your thoughts on the above, here's their contact page.

(I mentioned abuse of their position, betrayal of public trust and that as a teacher I'll be advising my colleagues to boycott them until they sever ties with Shell.)

This partnership is just the tip of the iceberg - part of a wider pattern of Big Oil and Gas shaping kids’ education. Our kids deserve climate truth, not corporate spin.

We’re working hard to uncover the full scope of this shadowy influence across Australia.

A very important question, and not one that we know the answer to. The partnership began in 2014, so it's not new, making it all the more concerning.
How on earth did The Queensland Museum come to run a marketing campaign for a fossil fuel company whose operations are directly responsible for wrecking the Great Barrier Reef and destroying cultural heritage in the Torres Strait?
