Bedtime used to be a nightmare here: tears and tantrums nightly. A few months ago, Tiny told me something I'll never forget. She said, "I need your snuggles before bed because you help my body and brain relax."

What an honor it is to be her comfort and peace. There are no more tears at bedtime.

Tiny's 12th birthday is in three days. I have feelings about this, and they're all sorts of conflicting. This baby loving, science experiment performing, craft creating, chicken mama is going to do such great things in this world.

He did it, y'all! The boy has officially graduated from high school. We are so proud of him and can't wait to see where his journey leads next.

Tomorrow is the day we will watch our boy walk across the stage to receive his high school diploma. School has always been a struggle for him, so this day is extra special for our family. We're so proud of him and look forward to his career as a welder and the life he will build for himself.

Irony is a bitch. I spent the last 3 days in DC advocating to protect Medicaid. Today, I'm sitting with my daughter in the hospital. She's receiving multiple iv meds to treat her lupus. Medicaid helps her get what she needs to be healthy, but the asshats in DC think she's a drain on society.

We got our newest family members yesterday, and they're perfectly perfect little babies.

We have a sick tiny human, but no fear...Skipper is here for direct patient care services. He is, in fact, the hestest boi.

Our girls are much more than their diagnoses, but we would be lying if we said their medical needs are not major players in their lives. Access to quality health care has allowed them to thrive in their community and help keep their health stable. They deserve quality lives, just like everyone else.
