Fighting for LGBTQIA+ rights is urgent right now. As the govt and state attack our rights and freedoms, organizations like Equality Texas are doing vital work.

I’m hoping to raise $500 today to help them keep fighting the good fight. Will you join me? 🏳️‍🌈

American fascism has a name and a model. It's Jim Crow.

Jason Stanley has been tremendously clear-eyed about this.

I really enjoyed this interview and maybe you will too.
Last week I had Kari Ferrell on the show to talk about her new memoir. She came to fame as the first viral scammer in 2009, known back then as The Hipster Grifter. We covered a lot of ground, including why she never scammed Black people.

None of us can be sure what will “work.” You try multiple things and find your way in. Read some histories of the Civil Rights Movement by those who participated. They were never “sure” of what would work. Some campaigns fizzled out. But persistence, creativity, determination, and focus were key.

It takes 3 hours each way to get to a clinic from Marfa. If something like this were to happen here it would have a devastating effect on our community.
"Some of our rural health centers could be 100 miles apart from each other. If one center closes, patients will have to travel one hour, two hours to get to another location. So, the rural parts of the commonwealth will be affected more than some of the urban areas.”
Donald Trump and Elon Musk have cut off funding for half of the health centers that serve 400,000 Virginians, forcing some to close, which could mean up to 200,000 Virginians are suddenly without healthcare

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.

Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.

But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

They aren’t firing for a reason.
