You should tag her—I’ve actually chatted with her a bit on this hellsite! Very tech savvy for 87!

Someone passed it off to NYS, probably because T has no pardon power there. So someone in DOJ is taking it seriously.

My grandfather subscribed to the journal of atomic scientists and had a complete run-- I recall some cobalt-seeded bombs proposed in the fifties that would have made entire continents unliveable for centuries.

The question that keeps coming to mind for me, that might be the subject of a column, is when to leave. What's the final straw?

Antitrust is largely a common law enterprise. You have the very vague laws (Sherman, Clayton, Robinson-Patman, Hart-Scott-Rodino) and then a bunch of court cases determining what they mean. Which could get very ugly with the current crop of Federal Judges.

The bipartisan interest in investigating the Pharmacy Benefit Managers is encouraging, actually. But again, that's Bork's Everything But Price Fixing is OK attitude, not traditional antitrust.

Antitrust is a very strange area of law. And the respectable right wing does have their own way of viewing it, which is pretty much the way it's been done since the 80s. But the idea that Trump is going to be thumbing through a well-worn copy of Bork's The Antitrust Paradox is deluded at best.

Come down to Philly. Mutter Museum (museum of medical abnormalities) and Wagner Institute (science museum for working people that is pretty much unchanged since 1870).

Until we can deal with the radiation problem, it's pretty unlikely. I actually think terraforming Mars would be far easier to do (and is a necessary step prior to colonization) than colonizing it.

Nobody knows the Scuderie museum at the Quirinale (the Pope's/King's old stables). It is a fabulous art museum-- one of the top ones in Rome, but being only about 25 years old, it hasn't hit public consciousness that much.

He got USSR quota #137 despite being stateless. I can't imagine too many people emigrated from the actual Soviet Union in 1939. His "uncle" who was sponsoring him was a second cousin he'd never met who happened to run a newspaper. And somehow he got through. Without even a Nansen passport.

I've told many clients about the way that my grandparents basically bs'ed their way into the US in the days of the strict quota system, and they've all looked at me with amazement. (My grandfather said, "hey, I know the Italian quota is full, but I was born in Russia-- can I use the USSR quota?")

Well, the parent-child one is the most obvious 20 year one (I think F4 has gotten as high as 25 while I've been practicing, though lower now). But I've never done much work-based immigration. The system is broken in ways most members of the public don't even begin to understand.

I think the worst may be the "do it the right way" while ignoring that for some relative preferences, you're looking at a 20+ year wait!

And it is both constitutionally sound in the compensatory/punitive ratio and in the amounts awarded. I think it stands up if the court system does.
