In case you're wondering: Team Cherry told me they don't plan on sending out early codes for Silksong (they felt like it'd be unfair for critics to be playing before Kickstarter backers and other players), so don't expect to see reviews until after the game comes out

Team Cherry told me that Hollow Knight has sold 15 million copies, making it one of the biggest indie games of all time.

What's really wild is that in February 2019, when Silksong was announced, Hollow Knight had only sold 2.8 million copies.

I actually want more of this. I want ai companies to land all sorts of highly visible contracts with low stakes that they publicly flub. I want everyone to understand this shit doesn't work before it's integrated into something life threatening, like, say, hospital scheduling.

There's that famous study about men perceiving women as "dominating the conversation" in situations where women spoke half as much as men. These stats are even more absurd.

Fascinating video on Steam trends, especially these statistics- of all the games released in Steam in 2024, just 2.5% had the "LBGTQ+" tag and 7% had the "female protagonist" tag. This is supposedly the political trend that's overwhelming and destroying gaming.
