The level of misogyny on Twitter...
POV: you are a young woman celebrating a recent academic success

Ah, it's so hard not to put on any weight in this season 😭

Lol, sometimes I can't find my boss anywhere during the day until the moment I'm ready to get off work. When I put on my coat, grab my backpack, and walk to the door of my office around 6-7pm, he suddenly shows up and says something like 'hey, we need to talk about the spectra you took' 😬

I can never understand why people love night clubs. They're such noisy places that I can't even tolerate their levels of noises when I walk past them on the street.

Those languages that don't adopt the SVO (subject-verb-object) order are really a big headache for me

Am I the only one who's not excited about Christmas markets? Normally everything there is overpriced...

Ah shit, I've wasted an hour reading about which animals can walk backwards and which can't, and I forgot to eat the snacks for my afternoon break 😑

🤣 Yeah, but actually 90% of it is not urgent at all
The 1st law of thermoacademics: the amount of urgent work to be done is constant.
The 2nd law of thermoacademics: the amount of work previously deemed urgent is ever increasing

Ah, but I admit that the post-travel depression also hits me hard
Travelling is such an expensive hobby, but I can't live without it. It's good for my mental health.

I love the cruise ship I chose this evening on Danube. There are endless performances. I enjoy listening to cimbalom.

I was today years ago when I saw this Dyson 2-in-1 tap. Tap and hand dryer combined together, so convenient!
This is the Hungarian National Museum's bathroom, by the way.

So far I love my trip to Budapest. Budapest is so warm that people are still eating and drinking outdoors everywhere in the city. I've also just enjoyed an al fresco lunch (but it was overpriced, as I was eating in a very touristy area). This Hungarian pork dish was delicious! 😋

Talked to a Polish lady yesterday. When I mentioned 'Marie Curie', she had no idea who she was🤦‍♀️ Later she figured out who I was referring to, and she told me she only knew the scientist's maiden name and didn't know she was referred to as 'Curie' by people who are not from Poland🤦‍♀️

Whenever there's an awkward social situation, I tend to ask ChatGPT what I should say, and its answer always looks nice. But unfortunately I can't always adopt what it tells me to do, like "Don't over explain"😭 I just can't stop over explaining all the time😭

My supervisor said to me, "I'm sure you know our institute gives us an extra day off, so we're gonna have a long weekend." I nodded and was ready to tell him the trip I booked for the long weekend, but then he said, "here are some papers for you to read over the long weekend." 🤦‍♀️

Yeah, YouTube has recommended some AI-generated songs to me, and those channels don't tell you the songs are AI-generated. It's annoying.

Wow, that's convenient when I want to show people some papers at parties

The small research institute I'm working at has recently recruited a new advisor for its international office to help international students/staff deal with visas. This person has worked for the UN & later for an embassy. I can't believe a person with such a splendid resume is willing to work here😮
