Good episode about AI in higher ed, but one angle missing is what students think about professors using AI

I had a class last week where a guest speaker said they made their whole presentation with AI. Do students deserve a say in this?

“When shootings involving MPD officers happen, there are laws and regulations requiring that specific information be shared. The two recent shootings, though, show the significant gap in transparency that exists when federal agents pull the trigger.”

I want people to displace the imaginary depictions of *revolutions* that they have come to create in their heads with the actual small revolutionary acts that happen daily. We might get closer to revolution that way.

Also, let's start making the policy connections between this and the truancy issues that everyone is talking about (+ the fact that DC schools failed to teach about 40% of the student population to read in elementary school, and is doing nothing to redress it)

DC friends when we lose the DC streetcar are we going to get more “D20” (aka X2) buses to make up for the loss?

Or maybe some fun protected golf cart lanes to give rides up and down Benning and H?

DC leaders know what DC communities need.

Trump's tax plan would have cost DC $600 million in lost revenue. DC Council divorced local taxes from the federal plan, and instead used that money to create a groundbreaking tax credit for DC families. www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/202...
D.C. set to become first city in the U.S. to implement local child tax credit
Decoupling local tax policies from the federal tax cuts passed by Congress means the city will avoid a revenue hit of nearly $600 million.

Someone needs to look into this “modern classroom” stuff they’re doing in DCPS middle schools right now. Our kids lost years of schooling bc of COVID and they’re addressing it with… more computerized school.
