More than 600,000 Coloradans rely on SNAP to afford groceries. With benefits suspended, food banks have been doing everything possible to meet the growing need, but they can't replace $120 million in monthly federal food assistance.

This investment will help bridge the gap.

This crisis is the direct result of a federal law that handed massive tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy while pulling funding from states like ours (bit.ly/3UHRszH).

Unless we act, that hole in the budget will mean devastating cuts to health care, food assistance, public safety, and more.

This is NOT fiscal responsibility.

It’s a reckless transfer of wealth to the ultra-wealthy at the expense of Colorado’s families, seniors, children, and veterans.

H.R. 1, Trump's federal bill recently passed with support from Congressional Republicans, including Colorado Reps. Boebert, Evans, Hurd, and Crank, will create a $1.2 BILLION shortfall in Colorado’s state budget.

This will mean real pain for real families.

This year, I supported bills to expand access to mental health care, help keep safety net clinics open, and ensure that families can get the preventative care they need.

I’ll keep working to make our health care system more affordable, equitable, and responsive to the needs of real people.
