I am horrified, disgusted, and deeply saddened by the display of a giant swastika along I-70 near Lookout Mountain this morning.

This kind of hatred has no place in Jefferson County. Please read our joint statement below.

Today marks the start of a special legislative session at the Colorado Capitol.

We’ve been called back because of the devastating effects of President Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill,” which created a $1.2 billion shortfall in our state budget 💰.

Last week I had the opportunity to tour McAir Aviation ✈️ at flyrmma.bsky.social in Broomfield, CO.

With our country facing a nationwide pilot shortage, their dedication to training the next generation of aviators is *incredibly* important.

Last Thursday, I had the privilege of attending the Greater Arvada Chamber of Commerce's "Impression of Session: 2025 Legislative Review & Business Impact" event to discuss the bills we passed this year and what they will mean for Arvada businesses.

❌ Nearly 200,000 Coloradans could lose their Medicaid coverage

❌ More than 600,000 Coloradans who rely on food assistance (SNAP) could see their benefits reduced or cut entirely

❌ Education funding, services for kids with disabilities, and tax relief for seniors are all at risk

H.R. 1, Trump's federal bill recently passed with support from Congressional Republicans, including Colorado Reps. Boebert, Evans, Hurd, and Crank, will create a $1.2 BILLION shortfall in Colorado’s state budget.

This will mean real pain for real families.

Legislators returned to the Capitol this week to hear presentations from state agencies, healthcare providers, food assistance advocates, & climate experts about the devastating impact President Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” will have on Colorado.

What we heard is deeply troubling.

On Wednesday — #EpilespyAwareness Day 💜 — my beloved friend & colleague, Senator @imanforcolorado.bsky.social, shared her journey with epilepsy on the Senate floor.

Roughly 3.4 million Americans live with active epilepsy—including 3 million adults & 470,000 children.

✅ Modernizing Colorado’s Disease Control Laws ✅

Today, the Senate passed HB25-1027, a bill I’m sponsoring with Sen. Kyle Mullica to update and streamline our disease control laws—removing outdated regulations, improving public health preparedness, and expanding access to preventive care. ⬇️
