Agreed. Just one more thing: Taking the "extra step" to achieve Passive House status is (by far) not as difficult as is often claimed: It's a matter of know-how and experience. Once implemented, it's actually quite simple. (Good airtightness is the core example—PH makes implementation achievable.)

Someone was asking me if there is #strawbale building in #Italy. Of course, there is #strawbuilding almost everywhere. Just not yet in the quantity that it replaces highly fossil construction of today. (It could, for a good chunk.)

A modern home in Pacific Palisades survived the fire while all the homes around it burned. It was luck, but also it was made to withstand a wildfire, and it did.

This is due to Republicans moving to Montana under the spell of Yellowstone’s John Dutton. Montana’s political landscape has changed because newcomers see this state as a place free of regulations—an imagined libertarian cowboy lifestyle. We’ve gone from purple to red because of western mythology.
Montana is the clearest place to see the nationalization of US politics. Whole Dem ticket was multigenerational MT hunters & farmers in bolo ties. Dem gov candidate owned a gun manufacturer. GOP slate was outta state tech.

Whole race was dominated by natl culture war & southern border, GOP sweep
