Butt dials are the goofiest aspect of modern tech, I love them. YES, you will carry a tiny magical computer in your pocket BUT heads up, it will randomly call your ex at 1 am & record you crunching down the street in heavy boots while having a garbled conversation about yams

We saw every movie and read every book about robots and AI killing us and said “yes let’s make sure that happens to us for real.”

A cool thing about me is that I'm an expert in how popes are selected because I've seen the 2024 film Conclave.

Leaving aside JKR's transphobia, the Harry Potter series is the most obvious "saying 'Oh that thing's still on?' when you see the trailer for the season three premiere" show imaginable. I just cannot imagine a version of it that doesn't get a big premiere, then collapse dramatically.

An absolutely incredible night.

Overwhelmed. What a joyful collection of humans.
EXCLUSIVE: Tonight at the Kennedy Center, Guster brought on cast members from Finn, an LGBTQ+ kids musical that was recently canceled when Trump took over the center. They performed the band’s song “Hard Times” to a standing ovation.

Every time I recommend a musical, I get a without-fail chorus of "I don't like musicals. Will I like this?" I DON'T KNOW, people. It's your blind spot, not mine. Maybe don't hold any single work of art to the standard of magically curing you of your distaste for an entire unbelievably rich genre?

There should be a tribute to David Lynch, where they just show 60 seconds of a static shot of a steam filled underground corridor, with a flickering fluorescent light backed with ominous washing and a distant scream

How To Be a Writer, #111:
Open laptop
Look into the void
Scream into the void
Consider that maybe the void also sometimes feels this way about you
Ask the void if it takes milk
Choose a nice mug for the void
And maybe a chocolate biscuit
Lose yourself in the void
Tea

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok?
