Legal abuse is real. Abusers often weaponise the family court system to maintain control and punish survivors post-separation.

In my last post I explained how the Trump administration is narcissistically abusing the US. We are all in an abusive relationship with the White House. It's Domestic Violence. Signs of trauma, abuse is Hypervigilance (walk on eggshells). We're being gaslighted. We're being coercively controlled.

People who develop CPTSD in adulthood (yes, it happens-- a lot) are most often victims of coercive control & systematic deception by people or organizations they trusted.

Coming to terms w/ that kind of trauma involves processing grief, disbelief, & shame.

Allow me to address the elephant in the room:

The Trump administration is not setting the course for a four-year term.

The Trump administration is setting the course for an everlasting dictatorship.

If Americans don’t want that, the window to stop them is closing quickly.

Financial abuse is also in play here.

Rising inequality is a wicked problem all around the world. It's the main culprit behind eroding democracy. We can't solve it without universal basic income and taxing wealth. We're fast approaching a point of breakdown where the rich will have to pay a much higher price than higher wages and taxes.
We are approaching a breaking point in terms of inequality. The rich should prefer UBI + wealth tax.

That Kamala interview was heart breaking because it's one of the few times that I've ever seen a national political figure say the system is broken and that trying to work within it to change things probably wont work.

I have to say, I believe it's 100%. But 98% isn't anything to look away from. Abusers abuse, because they want total control and compliance over their victims. That includes financial abuse... in a huge way.

"A thought experiment for you - if everyone received $1,000 a month in Universal Basic Income, would there be more partying? Sources say yes."

There are many reasons to support universal basic income, and yes, more partying is one of them.

Fight for your right to party. Fight for UBI.

An article came out recently that Americans aren’t partying as much as we used to.

Universal Basic Income will empower all activists like nothing else ever could. All strikes become more possible, even general strikes. More people could knock on doors or even run for office. More people could donate to every org doing the work in the activist space.

AI is displacing workers. It's reducing wages. It's growing inequality. We need to tax wealth and distribute UBI.
As unemployment rises, the AI era of universal basic income has just got closer

I don’t know, whatever I could? This isn’t the “gotcha” folks think it is

Someone in my community shared this recently, and it stayed with me.

She said someone once told her: “It seems like you really attract abusers.”

Her reply?

“I disagree. Would you say that zebras attract lions, or that lions hunt zebras?”

Remember: There is nothing natural or inevitable about extreme inequality; it’s the result of an economic system that values wealth and power over human dignity and justice.

It doesn't have to be this way.

If we create a basic income floor below which no one can fall, and set it high enough and alongside other universal needs like healthcare and education, then everyone will be more capable of becoming the best versions of themselves, which in turn means a society that is the best version of itself.
