The Free Press ran an article by an intern saying Stanford Internet Observatory had students participate in the censorship of Hunter Biden’s laptop and the lab leak hypothesis. Utter nonsense.

There was neither a request for comment nor a response to my request for correction. It never happened.
Bari Weiss's Free Press website ran this screed by Matt Taibbi defending his lawsuit against a book author.

But the Free Press apparently never reached out to the author. Even though Weiss spiked that 60 Minutes piece for not reaching out to enough Trump officials www.thefp.com/p/matt-taibb...
Matt Taibbi: To Protect Free Speech, I’m Suing the Man Who Defamed Me
There’s a difference between censorship, which prevents speech, and seeking restitution for a harmful lie already in print. That's why I'm suing the man who defamed me, writes Matt Taibbi.

The American people electing Trump after he staged a coup attempt 5 years ago was a nail in the coffin of our democracy. You can rationalize it all you want - But inflation! But wokeness! - but ultimately it was a societal suicide attempt and probably the dumbest collective voting decision ever made

“They’re playing fast and loose with people eating!”—Rep. Rosa DeLauro.

40% of the people on SNAP benefits are children.

The richest people in the United States are taking food away from the poorest children before thanksgiving, let that sink in. #Resist

If SNAP benefits vanished tomorrow, feeding 42 million Americans for a month would cost about $7.8 billion. That’s less than 1% of the combined net worth of the three richest men in the U.S. A reminder of how obscene inequality has become and how easily hunger could be solved if we chose to.

Excellent visual explanation for those low info Republicans that continually vote against themselves due to RepubliCON messaging.

One of my favorite photos I took today—in the heart of Chicago on Michigan Ave.. You can count many American flags, Chicago flags, pro democracy signs, & anti-fascist signs.

0 flags to a politician, confederacy, or Nazis. MAGAs claim patriotism—but its anti-fascist Americans who actually embody it.

The Trump administration is offering $60K in student loan forgiveness as a recruitment tool for ICE, which just proves fighting Biden on student loan relief was never about the loans or “paying your own debt.” It was about who was offering it and who it would’ve helped.

His post is nuts. Trump talks about “Antifa” like it’s Al Qaeda. It’s not. It’s an ideology. You can’t arrest punk rock. You can’t declare war on an adjective.

That’s the con. Call protest “terrorism,” send in troops, then claim the country’s out of control.

The best advice I can offer people is to stop expecting wealth class owned media and wealth class owned politicians to snap out of it. They’re doing exactly what they’re supposed to do.

It’s our work to accomplish and it will happen organically. Sorry that there aren’t shortcuts. It’s on us.

There a reason the protests are being covered differently from the Tea Party

The Tea Party was a front for the wealth class that owns the media and were used to demonize necessary reform

These protests were democratic and populist, which the wealth class and its media opposes

Though I’m sure there were sincere people who got involved in the Tea Party protests, the movement itself was astroturfed & paid for by Koch millions. It didn’t arise naturally, as reported at the time.
