Hello, followers! I’m an expert on the Lincoln assassination. I study all aspects of April 14, 1865, including the lives of the assassin & his conspirators. Addressing John Wilkes Booth’s dark radicalization in white supremacy and political violence sheds light on Abraham Lincoln’s life and legacy.

Happy Birthday to Edwin Booth! Despite his success as the greatest Hamlet of all time and one of the best actors of his generation, Edwin forever lived in the private melancholy and shame of his brother’s crime at Ford’s Theatre.

Lt. John Toffey was in the audience of Ford’s Theatre & then rushed to tell the news of the crime to his superiors. While reporting, a riderless horse galloped by, which Toffey overtook. It was later discovered that the horse had been ridden by Lewis Powell after his attack on Seward. #VeteransDay

Living in Texas means still having to cut the grass in November, but at least I can rep Green Mount Cemetery and Junius Brutus Booth while I do so.

Fanny Seward is on this Lincoln Assassination Tour badge. She was an eyewitness to the savage stabbing of her father, Sec. of State William Seward, & others. She later wrote in her diary of the event, “Blood, blood my thoughts seemed drenched in it—I seemed to breathe its sickening odor.”

Did I stay up late binge watching Death By Lightning? You bet I did. What a great limited series about President Garfield and his tragic death at the hands of Charles Guiteau. I’ve actually seen the bottle containing part of Guiteau’s brain and his skeleton in person. #skystorians

I was throughly confused at first when my “Lincoln assassination” Google alert gave me a link about an upcoming Miss Piggy movie. But I’m always in favor of more Muppets.

Edwin Booth’s saving of Robert Todd Lincoln at a train depot in 1864 is an interesting story, and I’m all for telling people about it, but don’t use generative AI for your illustrations. Otherwise you get images like this where Robert Lincoln has an extra arm coming out of his ass. #NoAI

Happy Halloween! This is a rare carte de visite produced while John Wilkes Booth was on the run. It shows the outline of the assassin on horseback made from beasts and a devilish hand. The visage of Abraham Lincoln looks on from the clouds. This comes from the collection of the ALPLM. #skystorians 🗃️

In 1901, writer & Lincoln collector Osborn Oldroyd walked the escape route of John Wilkes Booth. During his visit behind Ford’s Theatre, he was greeted by some alley cats. Don’t wear down your paws like Oldroyd did. Consider taking a guided Lincoln Assassination Tour by bus instead. #NationalCatDay

But what ended up being my favorite was Clarke's FOUR PAGE DESCRIPTION of Booth's physical appearance that just starts with "Booth is handsome. He has a very shapely and interesting face."

Clarke, circa 1870: Let's just get this out of the way, the dude is good looking.
