in my nascent 30s I’ve learned a lot of little secrets about troubleshooting my body. things like “go to bed when tired”, “eat when hungry”, “stand up when back hurts”. it’s feels good to finally have the self-awareness of a small child.

re AI and society writ large: bubble-ish messaging ≠ base case changes ≠ what what good will come from it ≠ things I will personally benefit from.

stay vigilant: one day God willing you will meet an adult who was born after the pandemic. at that point it’ll be very important to have prepared your body. yoga, plyometrics, etc will help, but not suffice.

If Miracle-Gro really wanted to save space, they should've gotten rid of the "e" at the end of "miracle" too. Everyone would know what you meant if you just wrote "Miracl-Gro". Hard to see where you'd go next though...

I did well on this basically only paying attention to audio. something smells about the AI clips’ sound. partly about how they hand mixing of environmental noise but there’s something about speech that at this point is deeper in the uncanney valley than faces.

I did well on this basically only paying attention to audio. something smells about the AI clips’ sound. partly about how they hand mixing of environmental noise but there’s something about speech that at this point is deeper in the uncanney valley than faces.

I think there’s hope yet for an AI-enabled world that enables connection and flourishing, but these ads make me extremely nervous about the intentions those with the power help us get there. it is interesting I guess that this seems to be primarily Meta/Gemini, not the other labs.
