agreed. almost makes one wonder if they stand to gain something from tarnishing “AI”’s rep with the public. but of course that’s at odds with all their advertising etc

I will say that that quote makes me reflect that the ash analogy is a mess in part because ash is high entropy while gorm fluid is low entropy (in the physical and information theory contexts, respectively).

interesting. I have very few strongly held about this subject, but I will just observe that the byproduct of a reaction is often not a very good reagent. it’s to start a fire using ash.
