I had a colonoscopy and EGD last year. One week later I had a GI hemorrhage and lost 40% of my blood, so while I was in the hospital for that, they did both the scopes again. Prep for the 2nd time was easier because hospital kitchen had almost no food I can eat safely.

I did say "a charity of your choice", and as a practicing Dudeist, respecting other people's choices is important to me. Mind you, I'd've ground my teeth if you wanted me to donate to a Charlie Kirk memorial. But I would have done it. 🙂

Not bad at all!
I used moong dal instead of red lentils because I already had some cooked, and I don't know if I needed the egg - "pease porridge cold" is quite stiff. I added arrowroot to soak up the egg.
(It's tricolor quinoa, not burned burgers.)

Erin Ryan of the Hysteria podcast/youtube channel says it makes Trump look like an intestinal polyp. Which, I have to say, is pretty accurate.

"Even in Memphis, many local leaders object to the federal presence ..."
Whaddaya mean, "even in Memphis"? Memphis is Blue. Steven Cohen (Congress) Blue. Justin Pearson (State House) Blue. And we are hanging Blue in spite of the gawdawful gerrymandering. We don't want the Guard here.

Joker has literally turned his face to the wall. After dinner, he used to sit at the front of his habitat, looking out the window. Since losing his lifetime companion, he sits in the back corner facing the wall.

Jolly died suddenly on Tuesday. She was born in my house 22 years ago. Her mother was the first chinchilla I fostered.
Jolly is survived by her brother Joker. They lived together their entire lives (he's neutered), never knowing sickness, hunger, fear, loneliness, or pain.
RIP, little girl.

Reset the brick border, cleaned many weeds, replanted the native sedges that I had to dig up to get to the weeds.

The p. luteas have volunteered in several places in my garden. They seem to prefer drier areas, but aren't particular about sun or shade. The butterflies prefer the sunny ones. I have lots of caterpillars.

Richard Smith, one of the world's great guitarists, will be performing at the Howard Vance Academy in East Memphis, Sunday, July 13th, 5pm. Tickets are limited. $25. I've been to a couple of his concerts. He is amazing.
