It was over a decade before I watched another, but this is where it all started for me! I remember thinking it was utterly ridiculous, and yet being unable to stop watching.

There’s an actor who is creating an almost scene-by-scene lip sync recreation of the 1995 BBC Pride and Prejudice, and it’s sheer delight for anyone who’s loved and rewatched the original. (He’s not quite finished yet.)

There is a lot going on right now, much of it very bad, but I’m feeling more national shame about that UN vote than I’ve felt about anything in a long time.

Trying really hard over here not to slip into learned helplessness when my (meager) efforts to preserve our republic seem so futile.
I guess I need to focus on doing the right thing because it’s right, not because it’s immediately effective. But it’s hard.

Is it coincidence that I’ve burned through all available episodes of both Severance and Slow Horses (featuring some of the most miserable workplaces imaginable) in the same month when my job has become incredibly stressful and frustrating due to multiple deadlines?

I don’t love everything Bujold’s ever done, especially later in her career (including the last few Vorkosigan works) - but I would put much of the Vorkosigan saga and also The Curse of Chalion on my desert island bookshelf.

I don’t think she’s been forgotten, but all the fiction of Lois McMaster Bujold, especially the Vorkosigan saga—all of it should be way, way more famous, in my opinion. She’s one of my favorite novelists, full stop. I would die of delight if smart creative folks made a good Vorkosigan TV series.
There are many writers of quality SFF - especially women - who never became celebrities and whose work imo far outstrips Gaiman's. And, yes, many - especially women - have been forgotten.
