In the yard today, a Western Hemlock seedling salvaged from the center of a logging road soon to be graveled over. I gathered about 40 little trees that would never have reached their potential. #pnw #trees #nativeplants

So busy lately I've been remiss in sending Friday #flu updates. This has been the most severe season in years. But it's well off the peak & no sign of late season flu B activity. Another 8 pediatric deaths were reported to #CDC, bringing the 2024-25 total to 159 to date. www.cdc.gov/fluview/surv...
