There are two different things an audience wants from your story: 1) they want your protagonist to get what they want or, in some cases, deserve. 2) they want to FEEL. Sometimes those are one and the same. But sometimes, like in E.T., TITANIC, and many horror movies, they are not.

My favorite detail about the assassination is that the guy fled into an alley. That’s really hard to do in New York. We have like five of those and most are shut down to film law and order episodes.
