We have zero morale at my workplace, coworkers screwing each other over constantly and a manager we haven’t seen in three months, but at least I just got confirmation from my team lead that they won’t fire me no matter what I do (because there are no repercussions here).

For a show that is so terrible on how it handles the Middle East in general, West Wing did surprisingly all right with their episodes on Palestine and Israel. It still wasn’t to my taste but you had the Voice of Reason character supporting the Palestinians and the conservative old Dems

We started the Interview With A Vampire show last night and I am absolutely floored by how good it is. I grew up on the books, I loved the movie, and I was concerned about some of the changes I’d heard about but they’re actually brilliant and it’s an excellent retelling so far.

We finished out watch of the CW Supergirl show last night, which I liked to call “Gay Alien Wrestling”. We watched it because it was on a list of lesbian fantasy and sci fi. Supergirl’s sister is gay and one of her teammates in later seasons is trans.

I finished the first season of Yellowjackets on Netflix and am actually considering paying for Showtime briefly to watch the rest of it. I was told that it had big maenad vibes and it did not disappoint. It was really enjoyable though.

Me when I first decided to come out as trans: well a woman can wear whatever she wants to and your clothes don’t determine your gender they’re just pieces of cloth you put on your body.
It did not work that way long term at all. Why is gender in the fabric?

Someday I will have both clothing that doesn't exacerbate my dysphoria and dysmorphia, AND enough of it that I don't have to do laundry *every* week because I'm out of everything after a couple days. And that's WITH re-wearing not-quite-dirty-not-exactly-clean stuff.

The difference between having a washer and dryer in unit versus having to climb five flights of stairs for every cycle on my middle-aged kinda disabled body is amazing. Like I can wash clothes whenever I want? It’s amazing.
