It is almost as if living in a backwards nation of disparate and fractured legal frameworks leaving you never entirely sure of your actual rights and responsibilities is, itself, yet another means of oppression and control. 🤔

Aside from a few scenes here and there, I haven't done any serious writing in ~10 years because my hypervigilance won't let me slip into the necessary headspace. I can't let go and immerse myself in fiction (even as a reader) when reality could quickly become a crisis.
