NOTE: The PRIMARY purpose of ALT Text is so sight-impaired people (& others) may be included, so they can “see” the images through our descriptions.

Once we take care of that - the rest of the characters are ours to do with what we wish.

Unfortunately, due to Long Covid, I don’t have the energy to record my own music at the moment. As an alternative, I have been getting back in to making DJ mixes. I shall post some links here.

Since a LOT of images on my timeline have been lacking alt text I think it’s time for a quick refresher: Alt text is important for users who rely on screen readers. The Bluesky community has long prided itself on being accessible, and we need your help to keep it that way.

Great Yarmouth is set to host the biggest neo-nazi music festival in the UK for over a decade. The Home Office has the power to block entry of overseas bands, which will scupper the promoters plans. The link is a quick way to email the Home Office: hopenothate.org.uk/2025/08/28/g...

Any shares of this for algorithmical purposes much-appreciated. I'd love to get these books out of my spare room & into the world before my new novel comes out. I'll sign them all & I really am happy to let people choose what they pay.

(Postage to UK is £4.)
All I have left of the 1000s of books I bought from my ex-publisher's warehouse are about 200 copies of Ring The Hill. I'd *love* to get them to good homes this week.

If you're in the UK & you'd like one, for the price of your choice (any price!), pls email me your address at hello@tom-cox.com.

I think this about music a lot. I'm not remotely sentimental and nostalgic about much of the music I liked when I was younger, but I am very appreciative of what some of it led me to.
Had a really fun convo with some friends the other day about what we might call Gateway Authors. These are writers that you might not care for anymore— and probably would not go for if you read them for the first time today— but that were important to revealing the possibilities of fiction to you

Book launch day! The release of your first traditionally published novel is no time for humility, so: if you care deeply about the future for human and other life on this planet and could use a passionate call to arms against today’s horrors, then ‘Birch and Jay’ is a book for you.
