"In this age of grand delusion..." How about a new @mojomagazine.bsky.social, with Bowie on the cover, to mark Station To Station turning 50? Wild new insights in Grayson Haver Currin's fine cover story, heading up a stacked last issue of 2025. www.greatmagazines.co.uk/mojo-februar... 1/3

First hike in a while to the Fairport Convention house in Little Hadham. Wonder if the boarded up bit is where the truck crashed into Swarbrick’s bedroom?

41 albums I really liked in 2025, listed and linked here now (all but one on Bandcamp I think), plus extras. Still believe that every year is a great year for music if you know where to look for the stuff that'll suit your tastes, and how to circumnavigate the stuff that'll annoy you.
Time for a thread of my favourite records from 2025. Might go on a bit. Not in order, but Bitchin Bajas' Inland See is maybe the album I played most in the past 12 months (along with the boot of their show in Glob in October) 1/ bitchinbajas.bandcamp.com/album/inland...

My thirtysomethingth Stereolab gig was a wonderful one. Melodie Is A Wound one of their great songs already, plus Peng 33 for the Sausage Machine vets.

Seconded.
A reminder for me to mention that Lodge 49 is now free to watch on the Channel 5 app. I’ve yet to watch season two, but the first is very special indeed, with ex-surfer Wyatt Russell trying to make sense of the world. Bruce Campbell pops up in season one if that tempts you to try it.
Cold this morning. The complimentary Lodge 49 scarf has been employed.

The Billy Woods verse on Dogeared by Armand Hammer is maybe my favourite piece of writing of 2026. "I dreamt of boats loose from their moorings..."

New Shane Parish is as good as you'd hope. Not just because it's conceptually so beautiful - a project in how the fundaments of a music are not always what you think they are? - but because Autechre Guitar exists as great music regardless of the backstory/provenance.
New on Palilalia, Shane's Parish's latest "Autechre Guitar." Shane's been working on this one a LONG time. Check it out on Bandcamp. The first two singles are up, you can read Philip Sherburne's illuminating notes and preorder the gatefold 2LP and CD!

I hate this England team. If the Baz project was to save test cricket, they’ve failed; no one outside committed fans still have a clue who Duckett etc are. What they have done is alienate actual test cricket fans by playing consistently like morons.
